Welcome to St. Margaret's Pony Club

We are very excited about sharing with you our love for horses and a sense of the fun, excitement and knowledge we experience through Pony Club.

Recent News

Several members of the SMPC Pony Club recently had the pleasure of competing at the USPC Eastern Championships in Lexington, Virginia! Everyone had a great time and represented the club wonderfully.

Our Championship Participants

The SMPC club recently enjoyed a great (and hot) weekend at Shawan Downs. Both the Tetrathlon and C Dressage Rally occurred simultaneously!

Congratulations go out to all of the Tetrathlon participants! Everyone involved received one or more ribbons. Congratulations to Melissa for qualifying for the Tetrathlon Championships!!

Additional accolades go out to the C Dressage Team on their 3rd place finish overall and their 3rd place finish in Horse Management!

And on top of all of that, the C Eventing Team came in first at the regional Eventing rally! Way to go team!

It's been a great run for the club members over the last couple of weeks. So far this summer, Paige has qualified for Show Jumping championships. Kara has qualified for championships in Novice Eventing. Rachel and MacKenna have qualified for championships in quiz and our games team of Sarah, Lexie, Becher and Savannah have qualified for the Games Championships! What a great summer! 2010 Games Rally Participants

Congratulations to our St. Margaret's 'C' Show Jumping team, who came in third overall at the regional show jumping rally!

Thanks to everyone who came out to help prepare Olney Farm for our annual Horse Trials / Round Robin fundraising event. With all the hands present, preparation went both smoothly and quicky.

Congratulations to all of the kids who went to this years MD Regional Quiz Rally. It was a beautiful day, well run and a really great time was had by all. We had four full teams who competed... making us all very proud. A big thanks goes out to Ginny for all of her hard work getting our kids prepped for the rally.

Our Mission

The United States Pony Clubs, Inc., an educational organization for youth, provides a program which teaches riding, mounted sports, and the care of horses and ponies, thereby developing responsibility, sportsmanship, moral judgment, leadership and self confidence.
